BONUS RANT - COUNTRY ROCK vs. SOUTHERN ROCK

This is a piece from the "Just Whistling Dixie" episode that ended up on the cutting room floor. In it, I discuss my confusion about the terms Country Rock and Southern Rock. I was pretty bummed about leaving out one of my favorite Southern Rock Bands, "The Marshall Tucker Band". You know a Classic Rock band named after a guy named Marshall Tucker is going to play some mean Southern Rock. I also wanted to slip in some music by my favorite Bluegrass/Classic Rock enthusiasts, "Hayseed Dixie".

enjoy y'all!

On this episode of the Liberation I focus my energy on doing good things for those artists and groups who began as the cream of the crop and ended up as luke-warm broth. Join me as I pay tribute and educate with several cautionary tales of Classic Rock.

This is a bonus rant. It's what happens when I just can't seem to shut up about a certain subject. In this case: The Blues. I Thought of something very important that I forgot to tell you which has very practical day-to-day rock music appreciation applications.

My apologies to Lynyrd Skynyrd--you guys know I'd never do anything to hurt you.
